For those of you that are capable of doing so, have you considered publishing a video post featuring… YOU? It’s very common to see students posting solo rants / face-to-screen conversations on YouTube and other video sites. Why not use it to invite people into spiritual conversations? Why not use this medium to connect other people with your life – invite them into a deeper relationship?

I posted the following video after a Wednesday morning gathering I had with some local youth workers. It’s just a quick video post – no edits or flash… just me and the camera inviting others to connect. So easy! I posted it with the idea of sharing it as an example of just one out of many ways that you could use a short video post to reach out to others…

The term “Generation WE” has gone viral with this new YouTube video (ht to the Source for Youth Ministries) bragging over 700,000 views… a good glimpse of what this generation looks like.

so, i’m certain you’ve seen the video of the band sonseed by now, but if you haven’t, you need to go to youtube and type in ‘jesus is my friend’ — (or view it here on our blog) — and have your life changed.

last sunday, ben, my friend that i reference here on occasion, showed the video during the announcements at our church, ubc. the set up was too tempting, so, instead of listening to the sermon (yes, i know), we (the band) gathered in ben’s office around his computer learning this life changing song. we thought it a fitting benediction. church music is cool. here is the resulting youtube:
