Life On Purpose

Next week we’ll be starting a new student message series called “LIFE ON PURPOSE: 5 Reasons to Live Life Loud”.  We’ll be talking about:

• Reaching Out to Your Friends (Genesis 1:27),

• Making Significant Connections (Genesis 2:18),

• Growing in Your Faith (Genesis 2:7),

• Serving in Ministry (Genesis 1:28-30), and

• Honoring God in All That You Do (Genesis 2:2-3).

Such an awesome way to start out the new school year; it’s gonna be grand!

New SKILLET Coming Soon!

// June 19th, 2009 // No Comments » // Music, Web Sites

The band I’m most excited about coming to Hill’s Alive this summer?  SKILLET!  I’ve been a fan since their debut on Ardent Records in 1996.

skillet Anybody remember this album?  Good stuff for it’s day!

awake200 They’ve got a new album releasing in a couple months titled, “Awake”.  Hope we get to hear some new tunes while they’re here in Rapid!

The Katinas and the Harvest Crusade

// May 18th, 2009 // No Comments » // Music, Spiritual

I’ve been a fan of The Katinas ever since they were the “Katina Boyz” back in the day.  I have a renewed appreciation for their music and ministry heart after seeing them lead worship at the Harvest Crusade this weekend.  So good!

Anyhow, I wanted to share this fun video blog the band posted on their site as a kind of review of their weekend here in South Dakota.  They got some great footage of Mac Powell, Third Day’s lead singer, trying hard to be like Crystal Lewis

Harvest 09

As to the Harvest Crusade, they say there were 19,000 in attendance this weekend and that 1,517 decisions were made for Christ!  If you want to relive some of the moments from the Harvest Crusade this weekend, you can do so at the following links:
