There’s been a lot of buzz going around about this video (debuted at the 8th annual Elevation Talent Show).  Who are these amazingly gorgeous people?  Why is the funny, tall guy with the curly, black hair not in it more?  What does the surprise ending mean?!!

It's My B-day!

I was born 31-years ago today.  Whoa!  Deanna hosted a dinner for me, our family, and some close friends last night at the house.  So fun!  I’ve also been getting bombarded with e-mail blasts, Facebook wall-notes, and MySpace comments of well-wishes all this morning.  I’m so blessed to have so many loving and amazing friends like you.

I’m thinking about getting the Leopard OS for my Macbook Pro with the b-day money.  Looking forward to that!

Our Life As a Sitcom

Today was my day off, and although I’m still struggling to keep it all together with painful eczema-stuff happening all over my hands, I had a really fun time getting out with the family and filming some goofy video stuff for this weekend’s upcoming talent show.

What follows is a video that we filmed four years ago with a special surprise ending for that year’s event; we used this little film to announce to our church-family that we were pregnant with our fourth child, Mikella.  Check out the girls’ reaction when we told them the news…

(sniff, sniff)  That’s a classic… and the girls are all so small!  If you can hear it, at the end I say something like, “Don’t tell anyone… we’re going to announce it at the talent show…”  So fun!

What will this year’s Shoup family movie be all about?  Well, I guess you’ll have to come to the show and see.  It starts at 6:30 PM this Sunday night.  See you there!

FF5's "Dance or Die"

Family Force 5 released a new three song EP titled “Dance or Die” this week.  Since they are one of my fave bands, I picked it up right away.  Not disappointed at all.  Great energy and spunk like all their stuff.  Can’t wait for another full album.  And, by the way, if you ever get the chance to see them perform live, they are an absolute “must see”!
