New Year’s Eve Teen Blast 2009

WHEN: New Year’s Eve, December 31st @ 7:00 PM; doors open at 6:30 PM
WHERE: Belle Fourche Area Community Center
COST: $15 per person in advance or $19 the day of the event; food not included with cost of the event
FEATURING: Article One, Rick Smith, indoor pool with 80′ water slide, inflatable games, pizza and pop, 3 and 3 round robin, basketball, indoor soccer, dodgeball, and “Hold the Ropes Room” for prayer and writing to locally based missionaries.

What a fun night! There were over 300 students in attendance for free food, inflatables, music, and the Gospel message (with several decisions for Christ)!

See You @ the Pole Rally / National Prayer Event

Bethel Assembly of God and several other area churches are partnering together to host this community-wide, student, evangelistic event which will feature live music with hip hop artist, Michael Fugitt and more, several inflatables, food, and special guest, Mark Entzminger — all for FREE to students of our community/region.

Where: Bethel Assembly of God, 1202 N. Maple Ave
Our regular student rally service will be canceled / moved; all are encouraged to attend the community event
When: Gates open at 5:30 pm; event starts at 5:45 pm; event is over at 8:15 pm
Cost: Free (including hot dogs and inflatables)

Central States Fair / Parent Info-Meeting

Join Elevate Student Ministries this evening as we gather together, 9:00 PM, at the north gate of the Central States Fair. We’ll meet at 7:00 PM for our last night of the “Summer Blockbusters” message series featuring clips from the film, “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End”.

NOTE: Students will be responsible to get rides to and from the fair. The event will not be chaperoned because of the nature of the gathering, but Elevate staff will be present and hanging out with students from 9:00 to 11:00 PM.

Next Wednesday, September 2nd, Elevate Student Ministries will be hosting our annual parent info-meeting for all parents wanting the inside scoop on the coming year of student ministry at Destiny. All are encouraged to attend. We’ll meet at 6:00 PM in the youth room and will dismiss in plenty of time for you to participate in the monthly Worship Wednesday service @ 7:00 PM. We hope to see you there!

“I Heart: MEXICO” Highlights

Our “I Heart: MEXICO” team spent some time serving and playing with the kids at the Aljaba Chidren’s Home on a trip to Creel, MEXICO. Part of our service project while there was scraping, priming, and painting three of the buildings at their facility. We fell in love with the kids as we laughed and played with them during our short stay…

Our “I Heart: MEXICO” team also participated in an outreach/distribution to the Tamahumaran natives just outside of Creel, MEXICO.

I Heart: MEXICO Service

Vacation Bible School: Crocodile Dock

I had originally filmed and edited this video as a proud dad. The camera focuses quite a bit on my daughters, Autumn and Cynthia, in the following footage. Seeing them lead those little ones in worship really touched me deep on the inside. I’m such a blessed father! My girls are so special and dear to me.

Anyhow, as I was tagging this same video in Facebook earlier today, I was noticing how many STUDENTS were serving at the event. It definitely was not limited to just my girls. I’m so excited to see that so many of you answered to call to serve the children of our neighborhood and Destiny. Great job guys! You are my heroes…
