Don't Miss the Summer Camp Deadline!

// June 4th, 2009 // No Comments » // Elevate Update

The registration deadline for this year’s summer camp is THIS WEEKEND!  It’s also when all camp balances are due for those of you that are already registered.  If you need forms or more information, go to our official camp site at http://sdcamp.org; it’s all there.

Of note: there is a mandatory camper’s meeting on Wednesday night, June 17th at 6:00 pm.  Parents, students, and leaders are all strongly encouraged to attend.

I want to encourage you to make this a priority.  Don’t let money, a summer job, or anything else keep you away.  We’ve seen so many students ministered to in such deep and rich ways through the camp experience.  Don’t miss out!  Check out these stats from last year’s camp; were you one of these numbers?

  • 2 salvations,
  • 5 students healed,
  • 7 students baptized in the Holy Spirit,
  • 21 students that received God’s direction for their lives, and
  • 15 students that received a call to ministry!

Take a stroll down memory lane with us as we relive the camp “videos of the day” from last year’s EPIC camp…

And the long, unedited version of testimonies from last year’s camp on day 4…

Newbies' Night 2009

Newbies’ Night is a free annual student event where Elevate Student Ministries celebrates the beginning of summer and new students graduating into the youth ministry program.

The event begins at the Black Hill’s Maze (6400 S Highway 16) at 5:00 pm. We’ll provide rides back to Destiny and dinner for the students.

The Colourful concert will start @ 7:00 pm at Destiny and is open to the public. There will be a free-will donation taken.  Listen to mp3 samples at The Colourful’s official MySpace.

NOTE: The Maze and dinner is for Elevate students and guests only.  The concert is open to all.

All students attending the event will need current Medical / Liability Release Forms on file, including guests.

WEATHER UPDATE: If you are wondering about the weather, there is currently a predicted 40 percent chance of rain and an estimated temperature of around 52 degrees.  We still plan on going ahead with The Maze challenge so please dress appropriately.  Wear warm and waterproof / repellent clothing!
