I am Second is a movement meant to inspire people of all kinds to live for God and for others. Actors. Athletes. Musicians. Business leaders. Drug addicts. Your next-door neighbor. Students like you. The authentic stories on iamsecond.com provide insight into dealing with typical struggles of everyday living. These are stories that give hope to the lonely and the hurting, help from destructive lifestyles, and inspiration to the unfulfilled. You’ll discover people who’ve tried to go it alone and have failed. Find the hope, peace, and fulfillment they found. Be Second.

Starting this weekend, we’ll be watching select videos from the I am Second web site.  Catalyst Discipleship meets on Sunday nights @ the 6:30 PM Celebration Services at Destiny.  Here’s a preview of what we’ll be watching this weekend, featuring former Korn guitarist, Brian “Head” Welch…

This is just information you simply NEED to have.  There’s no way you can survive American culture without this (without looking incredibly awkward).

Multi-platinum, GRAMMY and Dove Award winning artist, Michael W. Smith gathered a who’s-who list from the music community to record the song, “Come Together Now.”  The song, penned by Smith, David Mullen and Cindy Morgan – and produced by Bryan Lenox – was written to remind people of the need to help those in Haiti.

When I watch it… (tears)

The Untold Story in Haiti

// February 23rd, 2010 // No Comments » // Current Events, Spiritual, Web Sites, Youth Ministry

Continuing to get blown away by the stories I’m hearing coming from fellow Christians serving/ministering in Haiti. I find myself praying for Haitians daily. God has really put them heavy on my heart.

What’s crazy is that there are amazing, nationwide movements of God happening over there… things that aren’t getting any airtime in the news. On February 12 — just a week-and-a-half from today — President Préval of Haiti called his nation to 3 days of fasting and prayer in place of the regular Mardi Gras celebration. Over 1 million Haitians attended this epic event. Watch the following video; I pray it stirs something inside of you to pray, go, and give.

For more incredible videos, pics and ministry happenings in Haiti, please visit my friends over at facebook.com/ymath.  They are back from their trip now, but these stories still need to be shared.  Let’s make this real to our hearts and love and serve Haiti as we are called.
