Join the Effort: This Must Change

// August 30th, 2009 // Family Life, Spiritual, Web Sites

So, if you didn’t catch it when I first posted about “This Must Change” a couple weeks ago, check out the initial post here.

Since then, I’ve decided to join the effort.  Check it out…

So, here’s what I’m asking you to do:

1. Join me in this challenge.  How?  Read on…
2. Meet Jason and get more info about the project and how you can be a part.
3. Here are the six causes that we’re supporting through this effort.
4. Pick a cause and use the donation link on the ‘Causes’ page to donate $1 per pound that I lose. Check back for a weigh-in every Monday.  You can make donations each week as I weigh-in or wait till the end and make one sum donation all at once.
5. Let Jason know you’re on board with the challenge.
6. Encourage me by leaving a comment below and letting me know that you’re helping in this effort.

I’m overweight and have been for a while. The weight needs to come off and Jason’s project is a great incentive to lose weight and help make a difference in people’s lives.  BONUS!

If you haven’t yet, start reading Jason’s blog (click here). He’s a super guy and a really talented writer.

This website uses IntenseDebate comments, but they are not currently loaded because either your browser doesn't support JavaScript, or they didn't load fast enough.

    right on brutha!!!

    Let's do this!

    • How's your work out sessions going? What have you been doing?

      • Greg says:

In my case…i'm not really "working out". I'm walking, biking with my kids in the evenings and generally watching what I eat ….and most importantly HOW MUCH. I've cut out all the snacking I used to do. Interested to see my weight this evening. It's my first "weigh in".

      • jason says:

I lift weight 3x a week and on alternate days I'm preparing for the 5k. Right now, it's pretty ugly but each time gets a little better.

  3. Greg says:

I'll be sure to follow your progress as long as you promise to hold MY feet to the fire! I'm excited to see the final results….both for me and what people donate.

I'll be posting my updates on my blog as well. I've got a number of people, Youth from our church, and family on board and donating both $1 per pound and pounds of food for each pound I lose.
