Amazing Bicycle Duo

// August 20th, 2009 // Just for Fun

Give me a couple weeks and I could throw an act like this together. No problem! ;)

So incredible! I wonder if these ladies won the competition?

I like the music in the background..it's from the movie spirit…I wish I had tht much balance:)

  5. Anna says:

They won. He says that in the end. They set a new Junior world record as well.

  6. Ben says:

Just like riding a unicycle, with a person on your shoulders.

  7. charles says:

any other videos from this competition?

  8. MDI says:

They did win the competition. The guy at the end announces that they just established a new World Record in their age group.

  9. @eclaes says:

Well, I guess I'm going to have to devote my life to mastering whatever the hell this is.

  10. WOW says:

    Typical Tuesday morning for me…

  12. fbbsfb bd says:

Not bad, but there's no flair, no excitement at all!

This is outstanding…this is more then that, or any other superlative…this…this is, one of THE highest expressions of all our common human-kind, of the highest beauty, grace, design, supreme, dilligent practice, planning, execution, skill, grace, the feminine, but all human form…this is truly a wonderful expression of what makes us above all other creatures upon creation. My great thanks to these two aspiring students of gymnastic, ballet, and many other disciplines combined and executed so flawlessly, inspiringly, and beautifully, which will encourage and likewise inspire all mankind to higher pursuits, peace, wisdom, and mental and physical fitness, who are so privileged to observe and be amazed by it.

They should create a new Olympic sport after them and this category. I was captivated by how an invisible tether kept the two synchronized and coordinated in every move, the bicycles became secondary, almost superfluous to those two graceful and beautiful people and their movements. The design and execution of their elaborate choreographed maneuvers and graceful routine as stated are a testament to the best mankind has to offer, and has been designed with. An Olive Branch to truly civilized civilization, now I want to leave paultry USA and move to their country! Well done!

Sorry – am I missing a gene or something that everyone else has? I can see absolutely no point in this activity whatsoever. Why spend so much time and energy aquiring a skill that is of no benefit to anyone. Who benefits from this? I certainly dont, and the world as a whole is no better for it either. As far as I can see the only people who are the least bit likely to get any kind of pleasure from this pointless activity is the two girls actually doing it. So why are they showing it to us? What is my reaction supposed to be? " It is really great for me to watch you two people enjoying yourselves"? So whats next – I watch somebody having a good laugh watrching TV, enjoying a good meal, having fun spending their money???

There are teachers, doctors, nurses, engineers, scientists, charity worksers and many others who daily bring more benefit and joy to others and usually do it without praise or admiration. These are the "best mankind has to offer". Not these two self indulgent timewasters.

I mean, it was a nice effort…but it was really shaky. I was thinking, while watching this, about figure skating, and that if any skater was as consistently wobbly as these two were they really wouldn't count for much – much less get a response like David's. This did that much for you? Execution wasn't even that good…

      plus: "paltry"

    • shaun says:

      very well said sir.

    • Adam says:

To be honest… no it isn't. These girls have better balance than anyone I've ever seen, but they don't come close to half of the animals. Have you ever seen a squirrel? Or a mountain goat? Or a seal balancing a big red ball on it's nose? If balancing on someone's shoulders while she backwards-wheelies a bike in circles is the highest human pursuit, then what are we doing here?

  14. Charlemagne says:

Don't know how you can say that is like riding a unicycle, you try both of them and you'll notice that you have to balance off a bit of extra weight and manoeuvre handlebars too.

    • Brad says:

they probably started training for this by learning to unicycle tho. there clearly are some basic similarities that translate into learning to do something like this

  15. Jay says:

they won the competition and defendes their title .. the comentator mentioned it right after their run .. he said that they got 126.32 points for their run which is a superior gold medal .. also they've made a new (junior) world record in some kind but i didnt understand in wich kind .. anyway great stuff

  16. Kanye West says:

Those bicycle skills were good and all, but Beyonce has the best bicycle skills of all time.

  17. Bill says:

Totally amazing and beautiful to watch!

  18. Ohad says:

    No helmets? Thats un-educational! :)

  19. Zukmai winer says:

Just think how many times those girls must hav fallen flat on their faces during practise

  20. Klein says:

have a look here, the world champions:

  21. rowan says:

i think they would mae a good pair of trials riders!!

  22. Dan Baerg says:

that is completely ridiculous. I really hope they won the competition. Let's put this in perspective for a moment. If YOU did that with what looks to be your best friend in the world (they'd better be if you trust them that much) I think you'd be pretty upset if you didn't receive an ounce public recognition for achieving something like that. Good job ladies, here's to your success!

  23. Lee Stuurmans says:

    not enough grinding.

  24. Dorian says:

that was amazing. I've never seen anything like that!

  25. Unicycle Pro says:

    They're not bikes.
They're unicycles with an extra wheel.
    Big whoop.

  26. Jim Bauer says:

Truly amazing stuff. You know, it's when you see stuff like this that makes your jaw drop, you think—ANYTHING is possible. And it is!

  27. Eh, I could do that….if I wasn't fat. and I had balance. and I had the skill. whatever, I could still do it. I can do it in GTA: SA, why not in real life, right?

  28. Lena says:

    yes they did win!

  29. nftgr09 says:

i can do that in my sleep…………. thats about the ONLY place i can do it

  30. betack says:

Awesomest of all the awesome ever.

  31. Auoro says:

i like the connection between them, is charming.

  32. Snide says:

Too bad the crowd seemed so bored. I guess in our video generation it takes way more than this to impress people today.

  33. Jeanie says:

This was a competition?????????? You mean there are others who can do this????????
    INCREDIBLE!

  34. Chloe says:

loving the music from Spirit :)

  35. Trey says:

    falling with style

  36. Jens says:

this is no wonder … only german ;-)

  37. alan partridge says:

    do a backflip!

  38. circusboy90210 says:

I would like to hire them for my show.

  39. boogiemo says:

ahhh watching these chicks stresses me out i kept thinking they were going to fall and break their faces off. anyways, they were amazing. could've probably picked music that sucks a little less though, hah.

  40. Tim says:

    They should join the circus.

  41. Ellen says:

i wonder if they ever just get sick of riding bikes

  42. Dan the Man says:

Loo…. I NEVER post comments, but after seeing that I have to. That was the most amazing thing I have seen in many a long day. I felt truly inspired. Far Out. Go Girls.

  43. Matt says:

I wish I had a stick to toss them.

  44. Another Matt says:

Crap, I can barely pop a wheelie let alone the very first move of riding the damn things backwards into a reverse wheelie while standing on the rear wheel.

How do you even practice something like this? Who says, "OK… you stand on my shoulders whilst I ride a reverse wheelie around the stadium. I promise I won't drop you." And for that matter, how many times did the top girl fall in practice?

Obviously there is a competition and they were the best, EVER. Who are the other competitors? And what is the name of the sport?

  45. atothej says:

    Simply breathtaking.

  46. Jason says:

    sweet!
